How We Review Personal Finance Products
Evaluation Standards
1. Real Cost of Ownership (25%) — True annual cost including subscription fees, AUM fees, and hidden charges.
2. Feature Completeness (25%) — We test every core feature listed on the product's website.
3. Security & Data Privacy (20%) — Encryption, two-factor authentication, read-only bank access, and data sharing policies. We read the full privacy policy.
4. User Experience (15%) — Onboarding clarity, mobile app quality, and customer support responsiveness.
5. Educational Value (15%) — Does the product help users make better decisions, or just display data?
